BROOKLYN, NY, July 16, 2014: Today, Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams announced that he is pleased to be hosting the 2014 Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series, the 32nd season of the summer event held in Crown Heights. The shows, which are free to the public, will be held on five consecutive Monday nights starting July 21st, all beginning at 7:30 PM at Wingate Park, located on Brooklyn Avenue between Rutland Road and Winthrop Street opposite Kings County Hospital.

“This summer at Wingate Park, the tunes will be bumping and the crowd will be jumping, so make Monday your music night in central Brooklyn!” said Borough President Adams. “I am honored to be the host of this annual series, which has been staged for 32 years thanks to the hard work of the Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series organizers and the generous sponsors who support the series and care about our community. Concerts such as these bring people together, as One Brooklyn, to celebrate our diversity and unite for great evenings of entertainment that are as one-of-a-kind as Brooklyn itself.”

    The concert lineup includes:

    July 21st: Anthony Hamilton

    July 28th: TBA

    August 4th: Old School Night
    Roxanne Shanté Biz Markie
    Rob Base
    Kool Moe Dee

August 11th: VP Records Presents Reggae Night
