butcher knife in the bushes?!? — Brooklynian

butcher knife in the bushes?!?

blkaddr
edited November -1 in Prospect Heights
Walked on st. johns between underhill to washington last week to visit a friend on that block.

Happened to glance to my left while passing a blue building where several "young people" sit outside under that overhanging tree, and noticed a big butcher knife stuck in the ground, ready for some action...

There was no BBQ in sight. It was not the 4th of July. Just last week on a sunny day. I told my friend who lives on that block, and he said he'd pulled a baseballbat from those same bushes late one night after his wife was pelted with egss from the roof last year.

Did anyone else notice this knife? Are these guys dangerous (they've been quite nice to me in the past, some in the group even returned my 'hello').

  • I think that they use the knife for a culinary arts class that they are enrolled in. They leave it in the bushes so that they dont forget the knife when they are headed to school. The morning sun gleams of the knife and calls attention to them to not forget it. It moves slighty with the changing seasons and sun angle. I the winter it is quite startling, because the knife encroaches the sidewalk.
  • i believe there's a underground cutlery ring that operates out of the shrubbery on underhill.
  • my vote is for the urban version of: http://www1.eere.energy.gov/kids/roofus/sundial.html

but seriously, that wouldn't make me feel particularly comfortable either
  • I saw a stray hair weave fluttering in the wind. Maybe I should call 311 and find out who it belongs to? Maybe they cut the hair weave with the butcher knife and threw it in the bushes?
  • could this be excalibur, the fabled "butcher knife in the soil" of arthurian legend that can only be drawn from the dirt by the rightful king of prospect heights?

I think young snitch has it.

I definitely didn't see that but some guy was yelling in the street yesterday or the day before in the afternoon in front of Shane's, came in, and then yelled at the counterperson something about if so and so wants to start shit to come meet him and his boys on St John's...

    What's up with that?

I doubt that the guy that came in Shanes keeps a butcher's knife in the bushes to stab people. Maybe he read this thread and found his weapon of choice?
  • i think that they've been watching delicatessian too often.

    run!!! they're gonna get you!

    (that is truely odd)
  • I think the knife belongs to erikkka!

  • Why is there a question mark in this thread title?
  • devincf wrote: Why is there a question mark in this thread title?
    Because why not?!?
  • BTW, how is a knife in the ground "ready for action"? Perhaps against the Mole Men?
  • Its a comical thread about stupidity...

Nothing like a rooster-zebra eating toast. You have proved your point, I am so freaked out! Your skills with google images have made me so petrified, I would never call 311 or 911 because you have depicted an image that shows that you are so eerily clever with your skills that nothing will phase me again.

Try something that was done by yourself, since these are not your own. That will stir something by your own merit…just a suggestion. You have a good skill that would challenge a five year old. Props to you, I would have given you a gold star for something that means nothing, but I resisted in diplomacy. Call you mom and tell her that you almost got a gold star! She might send you a care package and make you those cookies you like. Feel good about yourself, rhodamine, someone cares about you…somewhere?!?!

How many names do you post under? Are you rhodamine or neene? Or is it that you are rhodamine in the day and neene by night? Shoot away man! Let me know when you see the rooster-zebra creature. I might want to get some pictures of that also.
  • Rhodamine and neene are not the same person. And if you just check the properties on the rooster/zebra thing picture, you can see that it's from rhodamine's own site.

Okay... then why is neene getting on my case then?

because you accused her of getting a roadkill picture off of google, i'd imagine.

Because you started bitching about Google image search right after neene posted the pics of the weave and the roadkill.
