Anyone recognize this dog? 

It was found inside the front door of 565 Prospect tonight, and is staying with someone who lives in the building.

She has no tags but is wearing a harness w stars on it. 

Very friendly with the present caretaker and their dog, and wet from rain but otherwise seems healthy--slight limp in back leg. 

She will be kept for the night but will be brought to a shelter if no one claims her or can take her off my hands.

    Can the dog be brought to a vet in the morning so that they can quickly scan the pup to see if it has Microchip. It is very possible the dog was being walked and got.spooked by thunder and bolted from its owner and broke off its collar &,tags....Ive seen this happen a few times and it leaves the dog without ID and the owner frantic, and both unable to be reconnected, which is awful for both.

    Please take the dog to the Prospect Height Animal hospital to check for chip. They have 2 clinics, one of Franklin and Sterlling, and the other on Flatbush and prospect. Please I beg of you, I have found a dog several months ago and they've helped me locate his owners and the dog went back to his loving owner. Surrendering her to the ACC is a death sentence in most cases (pls believe me I know as I help rescue dogs from there). I also posted her on the FIDO page on Facebook. A lot of Brooklyn dog owners check their page daily.

    I am told dog will be headed to a foster or a rescue, (not a shelter) if owner is not located.

    Dog has no microchip as per vet.

    Ok..can you please be sure to.post the name & # of the rescue where she is eventually taken, if that has to happen. This way if we find the owner, the dog can be located. Thank you.

    This dog has gotten a haircut and a permanent home.

    OMG...so cute and looks like a whole new pup. So happy she now has a loving home. Thank you for the update and the photos.
