Bored at 5:45 AM on a Saturday? Don't be this guy and vandalize the Park Place shuttle stop

Apparently some woman asked him to stop this morning and he didn't. So, she took these pictures. Here they are:

  • Well this guy appears a couple cards short of a full deck. Did who ever take the photos alert the police?
  • She told the MTA staff present.

    They reportedly were not real interested, and for that matter she wasn't really that interested either.

    She suspects intoxicants were involved, which I think is a reasonable assumption.

    The MTA will likely paint over it in a while. It's quite routine.
  • Our tax and fare dollars at work!
  • I just find it amazing that anyone is awake at 5:45 AM on a Saturday.
  • You guys just don't appreciate fine art.  LOL
  • It's the modern-day version of Neolithic cave painting.

    Thirty thousand years from now archeologists will ask, "Why did these primitive humans paint these designs on the walls of their underground tunnels? Were they expressions of religious belief? Were the designs a form of art? Can we ever hope to understand the workings of proto-human minds?"
  • So has this thread been picked up by gothamist, gawker or something yet?

    @Booklaw -
    Bored archeologists do love to study the actions of bored humans, and then assign meaning to them without concluding boredom played a role.

    @Mamacita -
    It does seem right up their alley. They will likely cast the woman who posted the photo and myself as busy bodies who need purpose in our lives.

    We have a purpose: We provide them with a sense of superiority.
  • Update: A media source has contacted me, and would like to run a piece. I passed their info on to the person who took the photo. She might call them.
  • Nice update. A post here turns into literature. We aim to provide creative inspiration on this blog.
  • We try to help those on a deadline.
