Bergen and Kingston (New Business) FKA Good Catch Fish 'n Chip

Anyone know what's going in at Bergen and Kingston? Place used to be called Good Catch Fish 'n Chip.

If my googling is correct, you are talking about 1299 Bergen, aka 118 Kingston

The most recent photo propertyshark has of the site shows it as a discount store:

Was it short lived fish place?
    Are you seeing construction?

It is 1299 but it's not the storefront on the corner. The discount store is still there. It's further into Bergen just past the bus stop. I've seen the construction work but haven't had a chance to ask anyone about what's coming or to look at the permits.

Here's a pic from Google Maps.

  • thanks nothinlike. I was just about to post this pic. I meant to take a shot of the construction when I passed by the other day but forgot. A lot of changes in this area. Curious to see what happens in the next year
  • The proprietor of the new business is definitely not the same as the previous fish shop, "Good Catch Fish & Chip.
The proprietor of the new business there previously had a "fish joint" on Ralph and St. Marks Avenues for eighteen (18) years before he lost his lease.
The fish there was excellent; must have had some quality to have sustained a business for so long.

The proprietor hopes to open before October 2014.
  • Also, I noticed this weekend that there were 50% off signs in the windows of the discount store. @bklyn50 do you know if it's closing and if so what's planned for the space?
  • Great news, I was looking for something to replace Frenchie's FRENCH CHIPS that was replaced by Chop Chop.
  • It's a little blurry, but here's what the new storefront looks like so far.
