So says Newsweek here.

Funny. I thought Newsweek was over.

The hippest hood in the city is now ....  the Upper Eastside! Surely you knew that. They cite a story in Daily Beast, which quotes some guy who lives there. So must be true.

  • I didn't make it past the lead picture's caption: "Hipsters hanging out at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Museum of Art."

Tell your parents when they bring you to the Met, that they have gone hipster the second they ascend the steps of the Met.
  • April fools!  No?
    A. Nobody should look to newsweek for anything about trends/fashion/coolness
    B. Can a neighborhood be 'over' if it never was really 'in'?
    C. A hipster must be making an irony joke saying the UES is now hip.  Perhaps the most sterile anti-hip area of any boro.
  • Guys, I totally understand why you didn't read it but this article is definitely a joke...
"Central Park. This lesser-known alternative to Bushwick’s Maria Hernandez Park is a little bit out of the way "
  • Thanks Laura, now I need to read

    Ha. Nice.

  • The joke I would always make to friends is, "PH remains cool despite the fact that we live there."  I guess our run is finally over.  Sorry about that, guys.
