mountain ? — Brooklynian

mountain ?

I walked past this place and literally couldn't read the name based on the terrible font.  Finally came across their website here:

The place is called Mountain apparently and they are a restaurant/coffee shop/herb shop/class place?  Anyone know anything about it beyond what's on the website?  It felt kinda on its own down there -- but I know it won't be for long.

  • Ah thanks. I am terrified of acupuncture so never would have clicked that link thinking it was about a coffee shop.
  • You may be less terrified if you go 12 days past due date and are told that acupuncture will move things along to avoid induction.  :)  I'm just saying, besides drinking raspberry leaf tea once you're at 38 weeks, you may want to consider shutting your eyes and not thinking about the needles, as rumor has it, acupuncture is a better option than the other ideas.  Although...  You could also ask about acupressure instead and I believe there is a spot in your ankle and the reflexologist may know about it and how to trigger it.
  • The fritatta is good.

One day when I went in, there was a drop-in yoga class happening.
  • Speaking of pregnancy: Yoga places seem to be breeding around here.
  • I think I'll skip this place. No fritatta is worth sitting through a drop-in yoga class.

The yoga, acupuncture, etc takes place in the back.

The food is out front. There is also seating out front.
  • I am a fan of the frittata. Their coffee is also good. You won't be bothered by people practicing yoga nor any needles floating around.

I also don't care for the font. Not only is it hard to read, but between that and the name, I first thought it was an outdoor adventure sports store.
