I was about a block south of this intersection today at the supermarket, when someone fired off two shots. No one was reportedly hit. People just stood in front of the supermarket and looked north on Franklin, then picked up their bags and went home.
Police were there within 2 min.

  • Scary. There is a small playground on that intersection.

Yes, there were lots of people about and it was mid-day.

The actual shots seem to have been fired closer to Carrroll than Crown.

I don't rule out the possibility that someone fired at the transit precinct, and would be interested in finding out what those closer to the incident saw.

I hung out in front of Tivoli for a few minutes, until the responding police presence was significant.
  • Did they catch the shooter?
  • Not by the time I walked by, about 3 minutes afterward.

At that point, the police were looking for the casings and trying to figure out where the bullets ended up.   They probably also asked a few people if they saw it happen, but I didn't stop to leer.
