Brooklynian's 10th Festivus, Wednesday December 17th. 7 PM
I am pleased to announce that this year, some Brooklynian readers will again celebrate Festivus and you are invited! This year's Festivus will be held at The Classon, located on St. Johns and Classon Ave.
Attendees of previous Festivus (Festivi?) may recall that the owner of the Classon, Albano, also owns Amorina on Vanderbilt, and has supplied us with pizza for several years in a row.
This year, we hope to partially repay his generosity, by buying his beer and food.
One can celebrate Festivus as well as Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and other holidays. There is no need to choose just one.
I hope to see you then.

The raw materials for this year's Festivus pole have been found.
It is going to be beautiful.

A short time later, the beauty of this year's pole is apparent:

-
Festivus is now one week away. The owner of the Classon has been advised that an unknown number of people will show up, because RSVPs are not required.
-
Can you please kiss Dude for me? Haven't been able to smoosh his face in a while....
-
Hey WN, given the Classon serves food I'm guessing they won't allow us to bring in treats (as some of us have done in the past?)
-
I have no idea. Festivus starts at 7:00.
The place usually has live music starting at 9:00, and that is when tables become in demand.
I plan to order dinner and stay until around 10, but others are welcome to just order drinks.
I think The Classon has appetizers. We could share some. -
BTW, this year should be great. I have a lot grievances to air.
-
I've got something else in the city this evening, but I'll try to swing by on my way in. Hopefully, you guys will still be hanging out and making merry.
-
There is a nice menu at Classon- not large, but nice selection. It would not be appropriate or necessary to bring food.
-
So far, about 15 people have stated they are coming via Facebook, email, and other means.
Most of them are good looking. -
See ya'll there!
-
I'm coming, and looking forward to my first festivus celebration!
-
It was so nice to meet you Clueless! I hope we get to catch up again.
The music and company was excellent. Thanks to Whynot for creating the Festivus Pole and many thanks to Albano Ballerini the owner of Classon for hosting Brooklynian!
-
had a great time visiting with everyone. big turnout - it's obvious that festivus is an important celebration for many - I guess lots of folks have many grievances!
Howdy, Stranger!
