Eek, in the middle of the day...
-
I just fixed a typo re the time. It seems to have happened around 5:30, as opposed to 4:40.
...but still scary. Hopefully the injured lives. -
anybody know who shot who? motivation? I heard this while I was teaching a music lesson at my apartment

Based on my perceptions of the membership of this board and my perceptions of who is involved in shootings, I would be very surprised if any readers knew that level of detail without an after-the-fact investigation.
That said, here's who tends to be involved in shootings, and their motivations: http://www.nyc.gov/html/nypd/downloads/pdf/analysis_and_planning/murder_in_nyc_2012.pdf

The NYPD is now distributing the beginnings of their after-the-fact investigation:
-

"Police released surveillance video of a suspect they say shot a 17-year-old boy in the backside as he left a discount shop on Franklin Avenue Monday night.
The shooting took place in front of the Bengal Discount Store at 797 Franklin Ave. at Lincoln Place around 5 p.m., police said. A young man walking with two others shot the 17-year-old victim as he exited the shop.
The victim was treated at Kings County Hospital and is expected to recover, police and fire department officials said.
On Wednesday, the NYPD released surveillance video taken of the suspect and his two accomplices, which shows the trio walking along the sidewalk wearing winter jackets, hoods and caps.
The shooting disrupted the busy avenue during the evening commute, witnesses said, with police roping off the corner a block north of the Franklin Avenue subway stop.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS"

Where was this photo taken?

Skywatch AND a cruiser? Wow, guess that's what happens when you shoot somebody in the high rent section of the hood. On Nostrand, they don't even put anyone in the Skywatch. Just park it for a day or two then leave.

Lincoln and Franklin. It was there yesterday morning as I went to work and was still there when I returned in the evening.
EDIT: Whynot beat me to it...
