Gamestop/EB Games will have wii for preorder — Brooklynian

Gamestop/EB Games will have wii for preorder

this midnight tonight!!!

yay

Important Pre-Order Information - U.S. ONLY

GameStop and EB Games stores will begin accepting limited pre-orders for the Nintendo Wii console on Friday, October 13, on a first come, first served basis. Due to extremely limited supply, we expect to reach our limit very quickly, most likely in minutes. We will not accept additional pre-orders at that time. To avoid an unnecessary trip we strongly recommend you call your local store to determine availability. A $50 reservation deposit is required, which can be funded with cash, credit or trade. As we cannot control production and shipping issues by the manufacturer, a reservation deposit does not guarantee receipt of a system available to purchase at launch. Reservations/Purchases are limited to 1 per household.

Our limited online pre-order program will be announced at a later date, after software and accessory availability details are confirmed. Online product pricing and availability will vary and will be fulfilled independent of store reservations.

  • AW, do you recommend it over the PS3? I'm not much of a console guy (got a PS2 right now) but I cant see no $599 for a PS3, no way. I put my game buck into computers, but eventually I get a console, just not "first day". When I do it, I want to know which way to roll.
  • wii is gonna be fun.

its gonna bring alot of guys back to console gaming. i havent play console since ps1. computers ever since. anyway its not the best tech. but according to alot of online discussions its gonna have the most games and fun. its cheaper on the wallet too.

its also cheaper for developers to developed the games.

having fun is what its all about. i'm so gonna preorder hehe.
  • I just bought a Colecovision on Ebay (8 games included) for $16! It works great and - best of all - I still have the Atari 2600 extension module and 20+ games from my childhood. I've been playing Jungle Hunt, Smurfs, and Donkey Kong Jr all weekend!

Of course I'm totally spoiled by Half Life 2 and World of Warcraft, so I can only take about 10 min of each game before I get bored.

There's some weird thing you can do to make Smurfette's dress fall off. I kid you not.

I'm still strung out on Counter-strike: Source - with Quake sounds.

    MONSTER KILL!
  • I have a PS2 and my g/f has a PSP, I won't spend 600 bucks on a PS3 though. Ouch! The Nintendo wii sounds cool though. Weeeeeeeeeee!
