People awakened by the gunfire believe the injuries from the gun shots to not be life threatening. Here is the person being put in ambulance

It was later revealed that two people were hit by gunfire.

This incident reportedly took place as follows:

"At approximately 4:30 AM, there was an attempted robbery of two patrons exiting Neptune II.

They were approximately six car lengths up St Marks toward Grand when
confronted by one or two men with a gun who followed them from outside
Neptune II and demanded their valuables. Rather than hand anything over,
they ran, were fired at eight times, and injured by at least one bullet
each."

It's shockingly good aim. It's hard to hit a running target with a handgun. With a 25% hit rate they're outgunning the NYPD.
