New Dunkin Donuts

The check cashing place, on the corner of Montgomery and Bedford, which closed after the bank opened is going to be a Dunkin Donuts.

Oh wow - a Dunkin Donuts? Do we know for sure?!?!
-
Yup. A "coming soon" sign is in the window. There is already a Dunkin Donuts around the corner on Empire and Washington. I'm going to guess it'll be another 6 months until it is open but maybe since it's a chain they will move quicker.

There are a bunch of Dunkin Donuts in or near zip 12255I believe the donuts are all baked offsite and then delivered, so I suspect that this location will be open very quickly.

I doubt we will see him. But, if we get up early enough, we will see the guy that drives these trucks:
"The company franchises centralized manufacturing locations (CMLs), which are responsible for producing donuts and bakery goods. It then delivers fresh baked products to Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants daily. This process is designed to simplify restaurant-level processes. There were 127 CMLs in the United states as of the end of FY2012.
A handful of Dunkin’ Donuts brand restaurants produce donuts and baked goods onsite as opposed to relying on CMLs. Satellite franchises with limited access to CMLs (especially in newer markets) will often rely on onsite producers to supply their facilities. This approach enables the Dunkin’ Donuts brand to expand efficiently into newer domestic and international markets. Likewise, it allows management to make quick changes to the manufacturing process without disrupting store-level operations."

Just as a point of interest there's one Dunkin' Donuts for every 10,000 people in this area which is a heck of a lot of donuts or maybe folks just go for the coffees and lattes because they're less expensive than Starbucks.

A lot of people like Dunkin for the coffee, lattes, and free- wi-fi. When I visit upstate NY (and NOT fancy Columbia County), I see people gathering for book clubs and Girl Scout meetings at the local Dunkin.

Is this place open yet?
I just walked by this on Sunday; no, not open yet. -
They opened about a week ago...
