washington avenue?

hi all, i have to move from my apartment in fort greene, and i'll be checking out an apartment on washington avenue between sterling and park (west side of the street i believe).

just wanted to check in with residents to see what this block is like...how noisy is washington avenue? this apartment is street level, so i'm wondering if this might be a problem if i'm accustomed to quieter side street blocks.

thanks!

on that block, I'd imagine that a street level apartment would face the back of the building as it's all storefronts. if you're closer to sterling, it should be relatively quiet. closer to park, you'll be across from not-utopia, the illegal stripclub PK's place, which can sometimes be noisy. the most critical thing, in my opinion, is where the bedroom is. if the bedroom doesn't face the street, it's doable.

good luck, and welcome (hopefully) to washington ave!
  • wait a sec ond--- that PK place is a stripclub??? so creepy and amazing.
