  • I do not believe we have the ped traffic that a Chipolte would require.

They are able to sell those burritos for $8 because they sell thousands of burritos at each location.

  • Quizno's would never generate the kind of sales needed to pay the rent and bills.
    Thank God.

Of all the things that could go in at that location, I'd have a hard time thinking of something worse than a Quizno's/Subway/Blimpie/etc.
  • I wonder if a liquor store would work. It would capitalize on the present whiskey crazy, by stocking whiskey almost exclusively.

    Stock boutique brands.

Perhaps encouraged by Bagel Pub signing for the Climax space, this much smaller space is still for lease.   8 months have gone by.

    $7000 / 800ft2

I can't think of anything except a bar that would generate $7k a month in rent.

  • I pass this place every morning on my way to the train - today, I overheard workers there who said it was becoming a Verizon store.

That shouldn't take very long to build out and open. ...4 weeks, tops.

  • Workers are busy today

  • Based on the signage (and Verizon's recent logo switch), I'm assuming this will be an "authorized retailer" storefront and not an actual corporate store (for whom I'd assume less thrown-together signage or no signage at all). Can anyone confirm?

I only know that new sign is snazzy.

  • I'm more impressed that there are new stores opening up advertising as "Paging Zones." People besides doctors still have pagers?
  • Oh.My.God. UGLY.
  • Burn it with fire!

Seriously, what d!cks!  Why not appeal to the people in the area with something a bit more subdued.  I'm not saying a reclaimed wood awning with subway tile and edison bulb interior, but man this is fugly.  I guess its 'marketing' to them, create maximum visibility.
