Found a very friendly female possible pit boxer mix dog in the Nethermead area OF PROSPECT PARK this morning (6/19).

Looks like an injury under one eye, hmm. Was dog leashed when found? You may want to contact the Prospect Heights Animal Hospital to see if they'd do a free screening for microchip. Also maybe call Sean Casey Animal Rescue and see if they can help put you in touch with more resources, especially if you are unable to foster while owner is located.

I've seen this dog on a few different sites, if I remember correctly there wasn't a microchip and Fido/Sean are both working on finding her owner. I hope she's gets back home soon!
