    He made extra money as a kid selling inflatable toys.   Here is his cart in front of 778, his home for 27 years.

    When the photographer learned the buildings on his block had been sold and were about to be renovated, he visited the residents who were still around from his childhood. 

    Here he is wearing a hat, visiting  old friends before they moved out due to construction.

  • I like that in the late 1970s photo, the guys on the stoop look like they are watching a neighborhood kid take a picture of them.

    The angle of the photo indicates to me that the photographer was not yet very tall.

    that's exactly what i was thinking. he must have been a really cute kid, carrying a camera and pushing a cart of balloons
