Emergencies on St. Marks, between Classon Ave Grand

What's up with ST. MARKS AVE??? on Saturday night the the 7th there was a shooting on the sidewalk half way between Classon and Grand, on the opposite side from the school. Tonight, there have been numerous ambulances and fire-trucks headed to the area. Does anyone know what is going on?

Has anyone heard what happend to the guy who got shot in the legs on the 7th? Who got shot? Was it a mugging, a random act of violence/ hate crime, or was it thug on thug crime ??

there wasn't very much information given on that shooting at the 77th council meeting last week, except that the guys friends got him to the hospital in their car and that by monday it seemed as if he was going to make it.

and that was a lot of emergency vehicles last night, i am interested in what happened as well

I heard several gunshots last night- from my apartment on the corner of St Marks & Classon. Could have been in the distance further down, but there were at least 5 or 6 shots.

It does seem like a lot is happenning on this block all of a sudden. From what I've heard, this was one of the relatively safer blocks to live on.

i was wondering as well... i could only vaguely see the flashing of (ambulance? fire truck? police?) lights thru the shell of the buidling being put up between my apt and St Marks, but figured something must have been going on.
