Fatal shooting at 193 Albany Ave near Prospect Place, Wed, September 9, around 7 PM

"BROOKLYN — A man was fatally shot in Crown Heights' Albany Houses Wednesday night, officials said. Carlik McClatchie, 22, was shot in the stomach at 193 Albany Ave., near Prospect Place, about 7 p.m., NYPD officials said.

McClatchie, of East New York, was pronounced dead at Interfaith Medical Center, police said. There were no immediate arrests, police said. The circumstances of the shooting weren't immediately clear."

The killings and shootings usually decrease with the onset of fall and winter.

This will hopefully cause restaurant and bar closings to again dominate the forums.

A very small part of me wonders if the shootings and killings stopped in July, whether the weather would start to become cool, whether the leaves would fall off the trees, and whether I would see kids in Halloween costumes before the end of August.
