Community Empowerment Meeting — Brooklynian

Community Empowerment Meeting

The family of Damon Allen, the hero sanitation worker who was shot and killed on Labor Day morning has started the The Damon S. Allen Foundation Against Violance

They are sponsoring a community empowerment meeting
Wednesday, October 18 at 6:30
Brower Park Library
725 St. Marks (Nostrand & New York)

This might be a good place to start working from within the community to stem some of the vilance that has been erupting.

  • This is a great idea! Unfortunately, their attendance will split between the CHNA meeting which will also be held tomorrow at around the same time. Perhaps, there is a way that the various CH associations, committees and organizations would be able to gather info so that these important meetings are not held on the same date and times.
  • the "vilance" that has been erupting...

I know people occaisionally make grammatical and spelling errors, usually typos, but "vilance". Come on.

may i suggest that in the future that if you feel the need to admonish people, a kinder and more discrete way of handling such a situation would be through the pm (private message) system.
of course that would mean actually creating a persona here as opposed to hiding behind totally anonymity

(and excuse me to anyone else i may have offended in my haste)
  • I loooovvve that the evil guest misspelled in his post.. how delicious
