The absolute best is the Blue Moon stand at the GAP green market on Saturdays. You've got to get there early for the best selection. Otherwise, you don't have many options. I rarely have fish from the area besides the green market, although Natural Land on Flatbush isn't bad. If I want seafood on a non-Saturday, I usually just hop the Q to Canal, or to Union Sq (for Whole Foods).
  • Not in the immediate neighborhood, but there are a couple of fish markets in Park Slope on Seventh ave on both sides of 3rd st that are pretty good.
  • I'm with Carnivore, the BEST fish is found at the Farmer's Market on Saturdays. Long lines but worth the wait. Get there early before the crowd.
  • i agree that farmer's market is best, although pretty expensive.

i've also been happy with the seafood i've gotten at sea-land on flatbush.

I recently bought fish here too and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was.

Actually, I find the prices at the Farmer's Mkt fish stand to be very competitive... most of the fish they sell is priced cheaper than other area fish markets. I mean, compare the price of the tuna steaks there to anywhere else... I'm pretty sure Blue Moon is cheaper.
