Stabbing at Empire and Kingston, 2/10. Injured is reportedly jewish, attacker reportedly black

"A Lubavitcher man in his 30s was stabbed in the back by an African-American man on Empire Blvd. in Crown Heights. The attacker fled the scene and is at large.
No words were exchanged between the attacker and his victim. The victim said the two crossed paths while walking along Empire Blvd., and he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his back. He quickly realized he had been stabbed in his upper right back.
The victim was transported by Hatzalah to Kings County Hospital. He never lost consciousness, and his condition is believed to be non-life-threatening."

Maybe he saw all the coverage and assumed that this assault would not be all over the news if the victim and assailant were of same race/hue/religion?

Suspect has yet to be arrested.

"Previous reports that an officer recognized the attacker from a summons he had issued to him turned out to be a case of mistaken identity."

This stabbing, and one back in November on Eastern Parkway, are believed to not be related.

Earlier today, there were reports that the suspect had been arrested. However, it seems a man was questioned re: the incident, but determined to not be the suspect sought.

"The NYPD hate crime task force unit have arrested the man who stabbed Yehuda Leib Brikman in Crown Heights last month, NYPD officials with direct knowledge of the investigation told JP
Keny Raschelin, 26-years-old was arrested early Thursday morning and was charged with attempted murder and aggravated harresment as a hate crime the officials said."
Raschelin, was caught after he stabbed two people Wednesday in Prospect Park, investigators said he stabbed two men, aged 42 and 35 years old, inside the park. The knife in this incident was also recovered, police said.
After being interviewed Raschelin confessed that he stabbed Brikamn last month and hate crime task force investigators charged him."

...I suspect it would have been hard to make them stick in light of the two other victims randomly stabbed not being dressed as orthodox jews -
Suspect has been found mentally unfit for trial at this time.
