Berg'n has embraced the family crowd.

I think its nice that they are adapting to the daytime crowd and making the space useful for groups of people who would be happy to spend money there...

In the past, I have seen small conflicts between the families and the groups of 20-somethings.
I'm interested in seeing if they can attract/maintain such crowd at night, despite such ads that they welcome families.
...both groups might like playing with blocks.

This baby block party is one hour a week in the back room that's separated from the larger space. I don't think this event alone will have an impact on Berg'n's current crowd.

The current crowd is already pretty child-rich.

I don't know why they don't keep the 'event space' in back open for people with kids during the day. I go in after picking my daughter up from school pretty often, and see people with stollers/kids in the main area, and we always just sneak into the back and sit there alone. I figure she can make a little noise and not bother the singles, and I'm sure the singles (and parents) would appreciate the back being designated a parents-with-kids zone. Sometimes separation is a good thing.

It would not surprise me if one of the lots in the nearby M1 zone became a daycare or small private school.
Such uses would be a better economic use than the auto shops and warehouses, until residential is eventually allowed. -
last time i was there for the flea last winter, there were scores of tweens/pre-teens glued to their smart phones while their parents drank, so the 20 something vibe wasn't too strong

I think they are wise to admit they are not going to be place of choice for the 20 somethings.
However, that little outdoor area could bring them in if it were to add a firepit. ...and, in a few years, the area might be ready to support the use of the roof for a bar and dining.

Until then, they are also pitching the venue as being for rent for events:
