New pizza at 758 Nostrand Ave?

@Elcaminoman I hope someone who could make that space work for good real NYC pizza.I loved their pizza but it was so poorly run. Delivery was so screwed up for a couple months. It took them over half a year to get on Seamless. They seemed to only ever have large pizzas. Getting slices was very hit or miss.@whynot_31 I have no idea Jamil Kahn is on about. I suspect that since they didn't put free range potatoes and vegan kale on his pizza it wasn't to his liking. It seems to me real pizza places are dying off in NYC in favor of these stupid organic ingridenats.

Pizza places are like all businesses:
Everyone does not need to like them, only enough need to.

Security gates were rolled up, Williamsburg pizza store cleaned out. Maybe they are starting their long-awaited reno?
-
Would be really nice if they renovated it and Williamsburg pizza stayed, but Im assuming that is a bit too much to ask?The consensus with everyone here (me included) was the pizza was great, but the business was run very poorly.

I walked by today and noticed someone working inside. It looks much nicer than it did before and it is still fairly messy inside from construction. I'm not sure how, but the ceiling was way higher than it use to be. Maybe there was a false ceiling before?

Over the weekend I walked past and there was a sign in the window looking to hire a pizza chef and deliverymen. Pizza is coming back!

Great news! Glad they had only closed to remodel.Makes me wonder if this was the plan all along: first open up as is, and if sales were good enough then don't remodel, but if business is slow, then close and remodel as planned.

I am so excited. This is literally one of the only things making me happy right now.

Grand opening is on Wednesday.

Just went and had a couple slices a second ago. I honestly don't think there is a much better classic Brooklyn slice in a 5 mile radius of this place. They also had a few Sicilian pies and some other good looking pies. Definitely worth stopping by if you are craving a slice or whole pie.The guy working said that it has been a soft opening so far this week, just for dinner, but starting tomorrow they will be open for lunch.

@jfinks really? Luigi's on Dekalb? Kings on Fulton? Wife and I went last night and it was good. The Brooklyn (classic slice) was a little on the doughy side, $2.50 for a slice. My wife had a grandma slice, $4. It was clean, bright and still retained that nice old-school pizza place feeling. They start delivering next week. Glad to have a pizza place close to our apt. Never really like Roscoe's too much.

I took my toddler there for lunch on Sunday. Pepperoni pizza and cheese pizza were delicious. They had a fresh Grandma Pie with bacon on it that looked divine.
-
@epiclylaterd I forgot about Luigi's, I'd say that is a better slice, but I'll take this place over a lot of other pizza.
-
it's pretty excellent pizza. I'm a fan.

I had a crew of folks in my house over the weekend. We did a bunch of pies to feed everyone. They made my pies fresh and everyone enjoyed. I'd say it's definitely in the top of local pizza with Roscoe's, Tony's and Billy's.
