the fact that bed-stuy isnt included goes to show how "diverse" the people who move to brooklyn are, don't you think? all hail ethnocentrism!

for the record, i just rated a few neighborhoods in my earlier post -- i didn't make the poll. it was apparently tacked on by the same moderators who created a message board with forums for sheepshead bay, bay ridge and brighton beach but not for bed-stuy or flatbush. go figure. -
The polls are limited to 10 options. So when I made the poll, I had to delete some of the other neighborhoods mentioned in this thread.

.
the most active boards on this site are mostly in or near the neighborhoods listed in the poll. Plus, we've already established a baseline hotness for Flatbush - and they already know they're hot (see previous neck swivel comment). Bed Stuy better start representing if they want in on hot or not--I know y'all have computers, I've seen you riding dirty on BCAT---wearing a thong and a miniskirt hiked up to your waist while on the back of a ducati. Hot, but not hygenic.
There should be a new rule on the board that your first post absolutely MUST accuse everyone else of being racist. -
the stuy should replace bushwick.
also, i agree with erikka's rule. it's the amerikkan way. -

Opposite tastes Jack, I used to live over there and I thought the west indian women that walked down church ave were some of ugliest mannish looking women I've ever seen. But if you dig'em, who's to argue.
Flatbush - 10 (always chock full of gorgeous women. Flatbush Avenue itself is great, as is the long walk on Church Avenue between Flatbush and Utica Avenues). -

the old school track kids hve mostly give up the fixed b/c the skinny kids have over taken the the style. how can you ride fixie for real if you don't have muscles?
I too, have been seeing more of these hipterish boys lingering around the South Slope and am always taken back a bit and wonder if they're lost. Lock up your track bike and stay a bit, handsome.
PS seems to rate much higher if you're a lesbian. My roommate is having a great time. Me, not so much.
as for the lesbian factor, if you want a male date who is into females and is also a keeper you usually have to import them. might i recommend providence or philly? aka, the "new brooklyn" and the "6th borough" respectively. -

Aww, maaaan... here I am, four posts in, and I forgot to be racist...
unless you consider my anti-hipster musings, in which case that might make me a "stylist." (ba-dum-bump)

Mannish? I don't know how women dolled up with pristine skin, hair, and nails and dressed in hyperfeminine styles of tight jeans and short skirts can be perceived as mannish. But to each his/her own, I guess.

I'd have to say... (warning, gross generalizations to follow)
Williamsburg--I can't stand those hipster chicks but there is undeniably a ton of eye candy over there.
Fort Greene--Lots of oh-so-cool buppy and yuppy types in this grittier, "Soho with street cred".
Clinton Hill--I get older, but Pratt girls stay the same age....
Carroll Gardens--I've always had a thing for Italian chicks.
Park Slope--The occasional diamond in the rough, but my general impression is that most girls in PS think it's somehow disempowering to wear makeup, shave, and dress in anything but a t-shirt and shapeless jeans.
Prospect Heights--Like Park Slope, but even less dressed up. (present company excluded, as I'm sure all the posters on this board are gorgeous)
And the dark horse is Greenpoint. Lots of beautiful Polish women over there--not that they will talk to you, but it makes for a pleasant ambience. 8) Brighton Beach should also not be left off this list. -
ditto on brighton beach. some of those russian hotties are smokin'. especially in their tiny little bikinis..
damn, escap, we're on the same wavelength. plenty of times i've driven down manhattan ave or some other greenpoint thoroughfare and seem some hot ass polish chicks- i'm talking young.
but i digress.
fg - fg park on a weekend is full of milfs. i really dig the style on some of those women. they don't show all that much skin, but the total getup is pretty nice.
cobble hill - ditto on the comment about milfs on congress. almost rented an apt from a milf.
park slope - gorilla coffee: cant' really get into that emo rock/arcade fire/mccarren park concert type chicks. too skinny and the amorphous dress just doesn't get me hard.
that said, i'm sure mccarren park concerts during the summer were a peeping tom/pervert's wet dream. -
greenpoint has a serious lack of booty.
-
King's Highway and south to the water. The Russian ladies are just siiiiiiick in their own distinctive way. Come to think of it, some of the religious girls aren't bad either....
-
I'm gonna go ahead and say Crown Heights (whoop whoop) and Prospect Heights... not gonna lie, I bring some hotness to the nabe.
I kid, I kid, I'm just proud of my new home
Howdy, Stranger!
