Brooklyn CB 9 approves Franklin Ave. bike lane running from Eastern Pkwy to Empire Blvd. They had rejected it back in 2014.

    Goodness. All of Franklin Avenue between Eastern Parkway and Empire Boulevard should be one lane for vehicular traffic. There isn't enough space for two lanes!

    On which side of Franklin is the existing bike lane, on the side where the bus stops are or on the opposite side?

    The article is somewhat premature.

    It was approved by a committee, but the full board has yet to approve it.

    Here is what it will/would look like:

    Bikes would have a lane going south, toward Empire.

    CB9's next meeting (shitshow) is scheduled for March 28th.

    On the west side along with the bus stops
