Halloween suggestions, please

I have out of town friends coming in next weekend, and I would like to take them out in Brooklyn (Prospect Heights, maybe Park Slope) on Saturday night (10/28_). We want to dress up for Halloween.

Does anyone know of any local bars having a costume night? Is Soda doing anything? Any other neighborhood bars?

I'm sure Soda is having a party - they should have fliers in the window. their parties are lots of fun, so I encourage going there.

I've never been, so I can't really recommend it and it is definately in the Park Slope category, but the Lucky 13 Saloon looks interesting (I'm thinking about going...). They were on the Village Voice's Best list this year and they seem to definately be halloween appropriate

Does anyone know if Soda or Mooneys are having costume contests as part of their Halloween party? I like the idea of cash prizes

- I think we'll have a winner amongst our group. Lucky13 looks fun - but kind of a trek from this side of Flatbush.
