Subject: Joe's Shoe Repair shop on 5th Avenue/Carroll st.

Anyone has any good or bad experience with Joe??
It seems to be one of those old timers who is still hanging on.
I was there today and a woman came in for three pairs of repaired shoes. She said she was there for the third time and the previous times Joe could not locate her shoes. She paid $30 and was not happy.

I know there is a shoe repair store on 9th street close to 6th. Is that one good??

    I've been to both, no complaints either time. There have been 1 or 2 recent threads on the subject too.

    He is wonderful! But ever since I moved to the other side of Flatbush I have been using the guys above the Q train.

    Joe is great. If I was not so far away and I was not so lazy I would keep going back.

    Glad to hear that he is nice. I had the same experience today. I am wondering what the story with him is. Seems like the store is there forever and it has a mess of a lifetime.

    Joe does good work, but it can take him a looooong while to find your shoes
