I have found Ambiance Improvement (917-907-1100) to be very reliable, on time, etc. and they do excellent work. Their prices are fair for the quality of work that they do. But if you want a very basic tenant reno, you should make that clear up front so they are not pricing a higher level of finish than what you may have in mind.

I used a young man named Joshua Carroll. He is very trustworthy, smart and reliable, and he does most of the actual building work himself (other than plumbing and electricty) rather than contracting it out.
