FEEDBACK on the REORGANIZATION

I think there are too many forums, and we should consolidate a bit.

i agree with Carnivore. it's just a lot to scroll through. but an A for effort, tho!

Sooooo many forums... Glad that I have a mouse with super-clicky scroll-wheel thingie.

it's gonna take a while to get used to this
definite improvement over the previous organization
now let's see which forums get used and which get abused... -

Ditto. Way too long to scroll through -
I don't understand why some neighborhoods are near the top and others are further down (I know they were added later, but why not put them together?). Also, I think that classified section should go below all of the neighborhood boards.........(and, still, that the list is too long).

I think the idea is to highlight the neighborhood boards that have achieved critical mass. The others could be moved as warranted by traffic.

Since all politics is local (thanks, Pat Moynihan), can we put all political stuff in the Brooklyn politics forum (like the Call for Change thread, for example). Otherwise it may get lost in the lounge, which is very, very big.
Just a thought.
Great job, though. I can't believe how big this board has gotten! -

I was just wondering about this, I noticed that some of the boards on the lower section have more posts/activity than some of the ones in the main section.
I actually didn't even realize that second section of boards existed so I never looked at them. Traffic on some of these may pick up if they are highlighted.
Perhaps if some of these are combined such as Greenwood Heights and Sunset Park, in the same way that Fort Greene/Clinton Hill/Bed-Stuy is one board, then they may get the critical mass they need to be successful. -

There has been some discussion about this amongst the mods. Still back & forth on the final verdict and what combos should be made. Stay tuned...
