How many cars use the CLUB on your block?

The only time I've ever seen the club being used to stop theft is when I saw a car owner beating a would-be theif with it.

You could say that about locking your doors as well.
You could. I was making the distinction between a type of theft deterrent that redirects crime as opposed to one (like lo-jack) that really discourages it by increasing the risk of getting caught. The lo-jack idea makes everyone's car safer because the thief doesn't know who's car has it.
