Best eyebrow shaping?

Hey ladies -- Has anyone been to Area Spa or the Home Spa for eyebrow shaping? I am thinking of getting mine done before my upcoming wedding, so I don't mind spending a little extra for somebody good. Please let me know if there are any other recommended spots in the area.

Whatever you do DO NOT get your eyebrows waxed at Dashing Diva on Smith Street. I did, and they burned all the skin beneath my eyebrows. It was painful and took weeks to heal, and looked horrible.

I've gone to Home Spa for massages, not eyebrow shaping. Don't let anyone talk you into going to Rita's on Fulton. I'll say this: she does excellent work, but is a total nutjob. And I stand by that statement as a former victim.

I've gotten mine done at Charming Nail on Waverly, but it's very low-tech.

i went to dashing diva once and was not impressed.

they're overpriced and kind of weak when it comes to the quality of the service. i think they cater to ppl who want a sex in the city experience -- ie they were serving (watered down) Cosmos when i went there.

i get my brows threaded in Manh by my office so i have no experience with bkln brow places. however there's a place above Bar minnow that seems decent.

go to shu uemura in soho - soul lee is the greatest eyebrow woman ever. she worked for bobbi brown for years and did bobbi's eyebrows personally. not in the neighborhood, i know but totally worth it

Subject: home spa eyebrows

I went to Home Spa for eyebrow shaping before my wedding. I lived in Bayridge for a year and even traveled back from the Upper East Side when I lived there just to go to Mimis for eye brow shapping. Before my wedding I wanted to pamper myself alittle and spent the extra $$ at the Home Spa. It was alot nicer than the $6 eyebrow wax, in experience...but the results were pretty much the same as my good old nail salon in Bayridge.
