New Business - what the community be interested

I'm thinking of starting a new business in the community. It would be an errand and virtual assistant service. It would cater to businesses as well as individuals.

Services:

New moms, food delivery, post-office erands, house-sitting (waiting for painters, movers, etc.), car repair appointments, Motor Vehicles.

Would you guys be interested?

Thanks for your response

  • Although it's an interesting concept I'm not sure how you'd go about establishing your trustworthiness (i.e. why should I leave you the keys to my house?)

One start would be if you were not an anonymous poster.

    Just Sayin'.
  • I thought the exact same thing. You may be honest, but sounds like a great scam to scope out a house to rob it or get personal information from things to be mailed, the DMV etc.

    Thanks for your responses.........

Do you have any thoughts on how I could establish my creditability.
  • I don't know how one goes about getting "bonded", but that might be, at least a partial solution. You'd need to establish a reputation as well, which is something of a Catch-22.

I'd also introduce myself to Myrtle Avenue Partnership and others in the area you're looking to establish yourself. The fact that a reputable agency is aware of your particulars (address, phone, etc.) won't come as an endorsement from them, but the fact that they know where to find you wouldn't hurt.

I'm really not trying to be snarky here, but I think you'd have something of an uphill climb to establish yourself.
