Park Slope Family Dentistry - Anyone go to them?

I'm relatively new to Park Slope/New York and it's about that time for a 6 month check up. When searching through my dental provider, PS Family Dentistry came up and it seemed really convenient being that it's only 2 blocks from my apt. (i'm on 5th/Union).

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with them. I always like to try to get some word-of-mouth reporting on dentists/doctors so figured I'd check here. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

  • you wouldn't happen to know anything about bisco would you?

i, through much research, have found that Modern Dental on 7th ave b/w 7/8 streets is really inexpensive, and the doc knows what he's doing.
  • how much does modern dental charge (before insurance) for:

    1) intial tooth exam
    2) cleaning
    3) regular fillings
  • i think the cleaning i had was @ $50, as was the last exam i had.

i have no dental insurance at the moment that's why i go there. i just had a root canal, post & core, and crown done there to the tune of $1300.
  • I don't have dental insurance either, but I'm afraid to switch dentists because the initial tooth exam/x-ray is always so expensive
