Good, cheap place to eat near @,28th St N/R

Here are a few cheap and good options:

Joy- an Indian restaurant on 28th between Lex and Park (not related to the one on Flatbush).

Chinese Mirch- Indian style Chinese on Lex just off 28th

Madras Mahal- vegetarian southern Indian on Lex between 27th and 28th.

Kalustyan's- actually a store on Lex between 28th and 29th, but they make cheap Middle-Eastern food upstairs. Really a lunch place, but you could get an early dinner.


With a little longer walk in the opposite direction, and you could also hit Koreatown.

Another idea- Roomali on 27th just off Lexington (between 3rd and Lex) specializes in roti rolls. Very tasty!
