I got a text message to alert me that it was my lucky day.

They are a great many things: lovers, wreckers of guitar strings, infrequent shower-ers, consumers of low-grade weed, wearers of those stupid plastic soccer sandals, and yes, douchebags. They cannot be pigeonholed or silenced by squares like me, trying to hush thier self expression, which only peaks after 11 pm. They will strum until some fool in some shitty basement venue somewhere gives them a gig so they can quit the day job they never had.

But indie rockers? In Park Slope? Please.

But I will give them credit for not being as bad as my former neighbors: the Italian dude who beat his retarded grandchildren and the landlord who had loud reggaeton-blaring birthday parties for his three year old every two weeks--none of which was actually attended by children. I can only say this is a step in the right direction.

edit: god, it's all kneejerk reactions by people who didn't bother to actually read the whole situation before getting all self righteous about how everyone else is a whiner and Park Slope yuppies and blah blah blah. I like Drano's suggestion--c'mon people, let's strike a deal.
