Do we have a watch store in the 'hood that can replace a battery for me?

7th Avenue Jewels on 7th Avenue and 8th Street did a fine job of replacing my watch battery. I also have an automatic there for repair, I'll report back on how that goes in case anyone has an old watch laying around they have been meaning to get fixed.

I get mine done @ a jewelry store on 14 st and 5th ave next to Radio Shack for $5

Yes please do Drano. I have a vintage Omega automatic that just up and stolpped one day that I'd like to get fixed. Do you recall the name of the store?

Subject: Watch Battery Replacement

I got mine done at a jewelry store across the street from the Key Foods at Sterling (up 5th a couple of doors on the left, might be called Paradise?) Also $5.

An update.

I took my watch to the location above to get fixed and it still didn't work correctly, so I took it back after a few days. The proprietor gave it another go with no hassle and it has been keeping perfect time for three weeks now - I believe they have a 90 guarantee on repair work.

Additionally, he had the band polished to make up for the trouble.

Recommended.
