Starbucks coming to Restoration Plaza... — Brooklynian

Starbucks coming to Restoration Plaza...

A friend of mine who owns a business on Fulton and Brooklyn inform me that Starbucks is coming to Retoration Plaza.

  • Very interesting... Starbucks is too expensive to me to visit regularly, but I might pop in for a chai latte or something... Where would it go? Did your friend mention when this might happen?

Does anyone know how Applebees is doing? I don't go much because they don't have a lot of good-value vegetarian options. Every time I walk by they are pretty empty. Maybe I just don't walk by during prime Applebees times?

A store owner directly across the street from Restoration Plaza, on Fulton, told my sister that they was going to be an HSBC bank opening up next door.
  • The Applebees on Dekalb and Flatbush does very good business. On weekends and evenings I frequently see it packed.
  • Oh, I just realized that wasn't the Applebees you were talking about. Nevermind!
  • But still, it's interesting that it's doing so much better than the one in Restoration Plaza (unless I really am just missing the busy-times as the one in Restoration Plaza), so that's a good observation bifteck.
I like the IDEA of sit-down restaurants in the area, even if I'm not an Applebees fan. I like their "onion skins" I guess.
And a Starbucks would be interesting - I wonder how they'd do in Restoration Plaza...
  • OK, where is Restoration Plaza?
  • Fulton between New York/Marcy and Brooklyn/Thompkins
  • The Applebees in Restoration does great dinner and weekend business
  • Brooklyn Record picked this up!

I like the coffee at BP (Atlantic and Brooklyn) ... they have some sweetened frothy stuff, and half that and half coffee, it's nice! --E.
