Night and Day restaurant — Brooklynian

Night and Day restaurant

Does anyone know why Night and Day really closed? I read something about small portion sizes although that wasn't my experience when I dined there. Are the former owners planning on opening another restaurant in the neighborhood.

  • no clue as to why they closed.

i really really liked that place. they had kick ass fries, inexpensive YUMMY food (burger with roquefort! mmmmmmmmmm) and the staff was attentive and well-mannered.

they also had good beer on tap. and a cool little patio.

my girlfriend is also very upset that they closed.
  • the old owners are also the new owners, of Biscuit
they just took on a new partner, the guy that used to have Biscuit on Flatbush

there was a fairly lengthy thread about it on this board awhile back . . .
  • if the new owners are the same owners as Night and Day, then why is Max, the owner's son, no longer the manager?
  • you'll have to ask at Biscuit
    :D
I'm just going on the freak explanatory note they put in the window explaining the transition . . .

  • Does anyone know where Biscuit is located or whether it will be a jazz venue like Night and Day?

    Thanks for your responses!
  • Biscuit is in the former Night and Day space...I think I saw some live music being advertised when I walked by the other evening.
