If we don't get the pole, you can just add that to the list of grievances. And I'm not tryin' to get fresh with you, but do you qualify as the head of the household in Andy's absence? You might want to rethink this "do it right!" mantra! :P
damn Emily, it sounds like whyfi is totally getting fresh with you, you gonna put up with that? -

not yet determined. last year was Soda. this year we'd like to go elsewhere but space is an issue. -
keep it at Soda then
haven't been there in a while -

Well, I may have the most power over the board other than Andy, but I seem to recall that Carnivore won most of the thumb-wrestling last year--so I think he has to be considered the champion. -

Only my cats are allowed to call me "daddy". -

well. um. this was almost a year ago. I think your chance to be mad about is long past. HAH! perhaps this year we can call you "papi chulo". -

I only lost because my thumb was slightly greasy from the plate of bacon! I couldn't properly apply downward pressure without slippage while the top of my thumb was grease free and ready for the pinning.
...or at least that's my excuse.

will any festivus trees be killed in order to make our festivus pole?
if so.
i vote no. -
No, the pole is made entirely of metal. Wood would be too festive.
-
"An unadorned aluminum pole" is what I think Frank Costanza specified.
-
is there an egg nog equivalent for festivus? :-s
i loves me some egg nog -
I have a black metal pole about 4 feet high from a speaker stand I don't use?
-
we could get one of those european poles. where they were selling in toy stores for kids to learn to strip!
-
Can newbies come?
-
Newbies are encouraged to come!
-
I dont have 100 posts yet, but I'll be there....
-
i'll be there. a list of grievances at the ready
1. excessive wanton display of vajayjay in 2006 O:) -
I barely post ever, (as you can see), but a Festivus party is a party I can relate to. CH's newest resident (me!) will be there, barring some unforseen catastrophe involving a moose, a golf club, and a rutabaga. .... ..... ... .. . yeah.

Things you can learn on the internet:
1. The festivus episode is airing 12/14 @ 9:30 pm on tbs
2. Apparently Gersh Kuntzman, author of the Chrismukah book wrestled the author of a Festivus book last week as a feat of strength.

Only The Smartmom Knows!
I assume it will be in the Brooklyn Papers this week though -
The festivus episode was on last night at 11pm on Fox! One of the best episodes, KKKramer workin at/on strike from H&H bagels.
-
The work holiday party was just announced... it's on Thursday the 21st. Although I would prefer the company of my neighbors more (and that's not to say that I dislike my co-workers), I'm not going to pass on an open tab at Mesa Grill.

enough /particulars are required!
where?
what food?
what drinks? - they better have alcohol!!
lets be specific for us newbies
I want to party!! George? -
Emily where we goin'?
they got food at Soda? -
If 16 people are really showing up, that's too many for some of our favorite places like Beast. What about Sepia? They let us order food in. But ultimately in terms of having a good area for us to take over, Soda might be best.
-
Let's just make it Soda for old times' sake. They make a mean burger, and they have pierogies if you don't mind waiting some unspecified yet finite period of time. If we get a decent sized group to show up at 8ish, we can take over a pretty big section of the lounge area. And anyone who doesn't feel like waiting can always get their drinks at the bar.
-
Hmmmm...I'd recommend Bar Reis, but apparently there are bad awful gh3tt0 peeps in there now. Plus it wouldn't be big enough.
In other words, just tell me where to be, and I'll try to make my way there.
WhyFi, don't limit yourself - I have my office party first as well. -
Soda works for me - I was having an extended fantasy about their onion rings and hot dog earlier today.
Howdy, Stranger!
