When's the next Lets get drunk at Soda DH event?

Yes, you're thinking of the right thing as far as Bandit is concerned. It's tiny.

The big box is "Black Box"...comes in a cabernet and a pinto grigio, if I'm remembering correctly. The white won a boxed wine blind taste test in Real Simple a while back, so I tried it and was not disappointed.

daveB: Yeah, we do the same thing with bottles. On the rare occasion we have one more that lasts more than a day.

ahh, cool. will check out the black box o' white.

with all of this booze talk, I think this must be asked: when is the next lets get drunk at Soda DH event?

    Subject: cigars

    On another thread, I suggested a flashmob drinkfest and smokeout (if they allow cigars) at Soda, if the DailyHeights crowd wants to have one.

    I personally prefer the 31st, mostly because I'll be out of town on the 12th for work. :(

    I'm working 'til 11 pm on the 31st and I'm out of town on 9/12. Any chance people will be hanging out past midnight on 8/31?

    I like the flashmob idea. I could totally use a drink right now.

    considering I rarely get out of work before 7 or 8, and show up frequently at Soda post work (and have to rush to catch up to everyone else's drunken state - woe), I may very well still be there at midnight. not sure how long I'd stay past midnight, but ...

    p.s. I'd only stay that late, though, if other people were there. dodging my Soda-stalker requires assistance.

    considering I rarely get out of work before 7 or 8, and show up frequently at Soda post work (and have to rush to catch up to everyone else's drunken state - woe), I may very well still be there at midnight. not sure how long I'd stay past midnight, but ...

    p.s. I'd only stay that late, though, if other people were there. dodging my Soda-stalker requires assistance.

    I'd hang out that late because I'm young and slightly alcoholic. Maybe we can start that night like 9ish, so no one falls over and/or does something foolish....

    Yup. We'll be killing 2 birds with one stone because that's the night I went and all the supposed singles were out and on the prowl. Who says DH doesn't give back to the neighborhood?!

    I've only been to two bars in this neighborhood. Bars + me = big fucking trouble, so I tend to stay away or at least severely limit my exposure to them.

    I never knew about it! I've pretty much stuck to within a block or two of Park Place, Washington, Flatbush, and 7th Ave all this time... (I know!) Since I started spending so much time on this board, though, things have changed...

    Oh, and I definitely have the ability to consume toxic amounts of alcohol and still appear...maybe not sober, but fine. Next day is quite a different story, though! :oops:
