Dinner for 10 - where? — Brooklynian

Dinner for 10 - where?

Anyone have some good ideas for a place in the Slope or along Flatbush or Atlantic for a dinner for 10? I was thinking about Blue Ribbon Sushi, but they don't take reservations. Any ideas would be appreciated. Oh, and it also has to be relatively last-minute... the dinner is tomorrow night.

{{EDIT}}
The dinner is actually in Fort Greene, so any suggestions as to a place that can accomodate 10 near BAM would be appreciated!

  • try Bogata. they have a back room for large groups.
  • al di la used to take reservations for large parties . . . and that is the *only* circumstances that they take reservations, so here's your chance

Sheep Station has a back room that'd be great for a group. But you'd have to want moules frites, lamb chops, oysters, or fish and chips only. Or salad. It's a short bar menu.
And no dessert, except for good scotch or port . . .
  • I made a reservation for 13 once at Anthony's on 7th ave.
they were so nice and accomadating they gave us a free round of stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta while they prepared our orders.

    try Aunt Suzie's as well.
  • pepperoncino could handle it, and doesn't convivium have a back room/downstairs area?
  • I believe 200 Fifth has room for that many people and will take a reservation. I would stay away form aunt suzie's. Moutarde? pepperoncino?
  • Try Geido. I went last New Years Eve around 9 pm with a group of 8 of us and we put our name down and only had a 20 minuted wait. I say only 20 mins as I have waited that time on a "normal" night. We killed that time with a quick beer up the block. The food is always great and they never rush you.

BTW, Peppercino sucks. Just my opinion...I have a friend who LOVES them!

ooo yeah, they rent out their wine cellar for parties. worth a call...

Tempo is another place, since it's HUGE and the food is better than average.
  • I agree with the vouch for Tempo, a bit pricey, but awesome. My friend had a post-wedding party there for about 12 people at Anthony's and they did a great job.
  • Thanks for the replies! I just found out that my group wants to be close to BAM (thanks for the heads up, guys!)... so I should move this to the Fort Greene board...

    Thomas Biesl . . .

Thanks, pitu. I'll check it out. Anything else near BAM? We're dining at around 10:30...
  • I'm pretty sure that Mullane's on Lafayette and South Elliot could accommodate you.
  • Scopello's definitely could as well, and it's just a couple short blocks from BAM.
  • Thanks! Made reservation are Scopello. Menu looks good!
  • Scopello was delicious. Super nice people accommodated us at a great table, good food, good cocktails. Really filled up post-BAM.
  • That's good news. When I saw your initial post, Scopello's was the first place I thought of, but someone else beat me to it. I haven't been there in months but it's comforting to hear the service and food are still up to snuff.
