Places to watch sports in the Slope

I'm not by any stretch an expert on the subject but I have 3 options for you:
- Timboo's (12 St & 5th Ave)
"Old man" bar that caters to baseball and football fans.
- Cantina (12 St & 4th Ave)
Mexican rest. w/TVs that will put on any game for you. I've caught Yankee games at the bar while downing some beers and a burger. They have music playing so you can't really hear the game, though.
- 200 5th (their address on 5th Ave)
A "true" sports bar. Can be very rowdy.
Perhaps you can get some more choices from more knowledgable PSers.. -
Loki on 5th is a Mets bar, 12th st is not a bad place to watch a game and have a burger

We were having this discussion about football specifically not too long ago.
200 Fifth was the place to be to watch football, but the TVs aren't exactly new flat screens, and the place was always jammed. Buffalo Wild Wings recently opened in the Atlantic Terminal Mall, which isn't necessarily Park Slope, but close enough. I don't plan on going back to 200 Fifth after going to BWW.
I would say Loki for Mets games, they even fly a Mets flag out front.
Best Final Four Bar? That's hard for me, since I usually meet up with friends in Manhattan, sorry. -
BTW, what is the correct pronunciation of Timboo's? Is it "Timbooze" or "Timbo's"? I've heard both.
-
I've always heard it pronounced as "timbooze". (I mean, it ryhmes with the subject matter, right?) Oh, and it's on 11th St not 12th as I stated previously.

The Carriage House on 7th Ave and 8th Street is far from luxurious, but they do have the NFL ticket, and plenty of screens....my husband and I are fortunate that they seem to always have the Eagles game on the giant screen near the pool table. The menu is made up entirely of things that can be dropped into a deep fryer...but the drinks are cheap enough, and they give you free hot dogs at half time.
Lighthouse, on 5th Ave and Carroll also has the ticket, but not as many screens. -
Excellent! How about UFC and World Cup?

Perhaps at The Black Sheep on Bergen St, just off 5th Ave. -
I'm a basketball fan myself, college and NBA. I've found it hard find a place during the NLF season that will show the games and not just on a tiny TV on the side with no sound. The search continues........
