How much of a tip do you give your mailman, ups guy and the post office package deliverer for Christmas? Yes, I know they're not supposed to get tips but I do anyway. Just curious what you tip.

I give $25 and a bottle of champagne to my mailman. I dont have a UPS guy but I would give them the same.
  • If I gave a tip to my mail lady it would be, "Hey sweetheart, here's an idea. Put the magazines and catalogs in first and then slip the regular envelopes in the middle of the curved magazines, instead of putting the envelopes in first then completely smushing them to the bottom by cramming the magazines on top of them."

I didn't mind that much with regular mail, but having my Christmas cards completely destroyed is another thing. :x
  • It is actually illegal for a US Postal Employee to accept a cash tip
  • I gave mine a bottle of wine last year and will give him a better bottle this year if I ever see him
  • Wow, champagne and wine huh? We used to have a regular UPS guy but he retired. Now it's usually someone different each week. Guess whoever shows up.

    Thanks for the ideas.
  • All I want for xmas is a post office w/employees that deserve a tip.
