As did I! Yes, we share the very same birth date.

When I lived on 3rd street I used to see him all the time.
  • By the way apollonia666 - love the new avatar.

    S-T-A-U-N-C-H.

Thanks! I felt it was time for a revolutionary costume. :)
  • Just don't wear, you know, red shoes on a thursday.

I forgot to mention, that was FRIDAY the 13th we were both born on. Bwa-ha-ha!

Sometimes I'll be walking with a friend, and s/he will say, "Oh my god, did you see who we just passed? That was Scarlett Johannson!" And I say, "Huh? what? we did? where?" All celebs are safe from being stalked by me.

The only one I ever recall noticing was Ric Ocasek, years ago when I lived near Union Square. He said hi to me, which was thrilling.
buscemi came to our stoop sale; i didn't know it was him till he was gone and my friends pointed him out. and connelly walked by us one night on the street, but i didn't notice her either till i was told it was her.

i used to have celeb sightings all the time, i think i don't anymore because i no longer have 20/20 vision. or something.

That's almost kinda Ghost World ...
  • I can't see the pic!

Fixed....I had moved the picture on my web server ;)
  • Quit stalking me!
  • Carnivore! Sock Puppet! Carnivore......................!
  • Wait, so who is this guy? I've never seen him in my life...
  • One of my favorite actors.

Frankly that subway pic looks more like a guy who used to work (perhaps still does) at Community Bookstore, but I'll take your word that it's Mr Buscemi.

  • I go to school/was in a band with his kid. They're a really nice family. Steve is actually one of the nicest people in the world. Haha, seriously, quit stalking him. But you should go to some gigs of his son's. Fiasco is punk/fugazi like stuff. Soñar is a noise band. Good stuff. :-)
  • Thanks DailyHeights, for jumpstarting my new career as a stalker/paparazzo on Daily Slope. I can now add it to my stalkerazzo resume!

It was nice meeting you at the party as well :D
  • A couple of months back my wife and I saw him in the morning (heading into NYC) on the F. We spent a little time quietly debating whether it was him or his brother Michael, finally deciding it was definitely him. He was wearing a baseball cap low over his eyes and reading the NY Times (pretty much like the pic above). The car was very crowded, but nobody hassled him. In fact, I don't think anyone else recognized him.

    Woo hoo!!!!!!

I'm as much of a stalker as the person following the celebrity down the street who's minding their own business, who asks to take their picture (with them). The only difference is that I didnt ask permission, and thats what makes it creepy to Brooklyn Record, and whoever else.

Would it be the same argument if Steve Buscemi wasnt a celebrity? What if I was just taking a picture of a random person on the train?

But wait, no one would care then, right? I didnt think so.

The tone of that Brooklyn Record post really pisses me off. I just posted a comment explaining that I think it's very dismissive of REAL stalking.
  • It pissed me off for 2 seconds, and then I realized they probably have nothing better to write about.

I'm glad that I could give them some new material, even if they have to embellish it to make it sound much more interesting than it really is!
  • Hell, Gawker.com has a whole area for people to submit sightings (Gawker Stalker).

Already did that Flexi! Same day i took the picture actually.

This stalker definitely knows her game, but apparently the photo wasnt good enough for gawker.

That should tell you how much of a stalker I am in the stalkosphere, B.R....
  • lol cabki, I guess you gotta get better stalking gear to make it to gawker :p.
  • I spotted Smart Mom on 7th Ave on Christmas Eve. Does that count?
  • How did you notice? Smug look on her face?
