treadmills? — Brooklynian

treadmills?

can anyone tell me what the going rate for a decent mid-range treadmill should cost me? i don't need bells & whistles. i want it for walking, not running. i would prefer it folded up rather than take up half of my living room

i'm trying to decide if it would be better to get my own piece of equipment vs. a gym membership...

thanks in advance!

  • I used to have one that cost about $500 and worked great for me for 2 years or more, when I sold it, for $250.
  • Subject: Walking>>>>>Treadmills and whatever : )

Try www.sears.com so you can get an idea of about how much a decent one would cost you , and see how big it will be.If you don't have the money cash , you should buy one online from HSN www.hsn.com , they let you make "flex payments" INTEREST FREE!!!!!!!! Which is awesome !

Or why don't you just skip the treadmill since you'll only be using it for walking , and just go out for a nice stroll in the neighborhood or to Prospect Park?

I walk 5 days a week with my headphones blasting , lol . I use google maps , and insert a starting point (my home) and an ending point ( Rite Aid on 7th Ave.) so that I see how many miles I am walking to and fro.>>>>2.1 miles walk there and 2.1 miles walk back home!

Now thats a great workout! :D
