S Slope Blue Apron Closed!
Been wondering why all is dark at the S Slope Blue Apron... looked closer today, and noticed the staff were carting out inventory via the basement hatch.
Sign on door says somethig about this Blue Apron closing, but welcome to the Union St branch.... and that a new establishment run by some Blue Apron staffer was opening here - 'grab specialty foods', whatever that is.
A dark day indeed - Blue Apron was a cornerstone of my world...
The cheese, the bread, the very helpful people...

WTF? Very disappointed, and such a good location next to the wine shop. Bummer!
Perhaps a bit to far South for their main clientele, though we certainly gave them biz. -
Don't worry, it's changing hands to a woman who's been working with them since the beginning.
My roomate works there and will now be working for the new owner. It will be very similar : )
Please continue to shop there, they're all really nice people!!! -
Forogt... they're planning to re-open on January 15th I think.

Yippy!

Hopefully they'll have useful hours this time around. The previous store was open, like, from noon to five on weekdays. I never shopped there because they were never open when I needed them to be. There's really nowhere to buy high-end cheese south of, oh, 3rd Street, is there?

Phew- Well I'm happy it will still be sticking around. Will it still be called Blue Apron? I love this place and I love that I live across the street from such a quaint shop. The branch on Union St. preceded the one on 7th ave. It's a larger store and carries more items.

Relived to hear that we're likely to get a very similar replacement.
Why the split, one wonders? Did BA decide to ditch the branch due to disappointing sales - it seemed pretty busy most of the time...?
I hope the woman from the cheese counter sticks around - she gives great cheesy advice...! -
Howdy, Stranger!
