About a black boy and a jewish boy forming a rap group with Mario Van Peeples and Howie Mandell after the Crown Heights riots? OK, well, it was pretty bad.

    The whole damn thing. In my defense it was hot and I was at my friend's house and she has air conditioning.

    Mario and Howie? A/C does not justify sitting through a movie starring those two... could you recieve more than one TV station on the set?! was there a radio that you could have turned on?! a book!!! any book?! in a pinch, reading a kids cereal box can be quite enlightening... :)

    I haven't seen that movie but I saw one where a Jamaican guy and Jewish girl fall in love. It's like a Crown Heights Romeo & Juliet. I think the Jamaican was Black Thought from The Roots. Anyone else see that one?

    I thought you were referring to the movie that Nichole Kidman was filming on Nostrand av last summer 2004, but I guess that wouldn't be considered a Crown heights movie just because it was filmed in Crown heights. but to answer your question I did see the movie. they tried to keep their relationship a secret from other or something like that .

    just watched this. i want 90 minutes of my life back. i also feel like a moron because from the looks of it, i thought at least some of the movie was filmed in crown heights, or somewhere in brooklyn. turns out it was filmed entirely in toronto! which means somewhere in toronto there is a boulevard that looks exactly like the parkway...

    *edit* new thought... if he was so inclined, the movie could be remade in a significantly fictionalized, completely detached from real history way, as a vehicle for matisyahu. it would still suck, but at least there'd be one real beard in the movie.

    I guess "Deal or No Deal" which has done wonders for his career.

    the end of clockers was filmed on the corner of park pl and grand st. the part where he came out teh police station and his car was all messed up.
