that is, what KIND o lawyer? -
I could probably give you a few names but I just need to know what type of case - you can PM me if you want

Oh, I was hoping that this was going to be about wills. I still need a will, and someone who was recommended on the PS board was (for my purposes) crazy expensive. Anyone know a lawyer who'll do a simple will cheap?

How much is crazy expensive for a will?
And how much is normal reasonable? I've gotta do that too. I know a real estate/criminal defense lawyer in BH that can do it, but I didn't ask how much... -
for a simple will, just buy a kit at barnes & noble. make sure you get several witnesses, though.

simple will cost from 150 to 200 , complex from 250, deps w/healthcare proxy, will + other doc its 750, so it varies.

If you do that make sure it either comes with, or you purchase separately, a health care proxy. -

exactly. even a lawyer when doing a complex or controversial will (say a gay, wealthy man's will in houston texas) will hire 10 people to witness the signing of the will and VIDEOTAPE the entire event so it holds up later. -

the more the better if you're battling a contested will. I mean, I've been a witness probably several hundred times on wills/living wills. but none of them will be contested. if they are, I'll have to go by my signature to confirm that I was, in fact, a witness because I don't recall all of them (or any of them specifically, honestly). if the will is in any way controversial, you want more than a couple witnesses because they will remember each OTHER. and, if it's really controversial (rich gay ppl in texas) you want to videotape the whole thing. it's really nuts. -

that's the standard I'm aiming for . . .
thx for the illumination.

SHELLBACH: Alright, you can eat. But machines do everything else.
KRAMER: (hesitant) Uhm...
Kramer looks to Elaine, who nods.
ELAINE: I'd stick.
KRAMER: Yeah, yeah. Stick. (to Elaine) 'Cos I could still go to the coffee
shop.
