  • Subject: Live nearby, had to try

Been there but once, but we've hesitated on going back. My chicken sandwich was bland -- just overdone chicken on bread -- and my GF's burger was boring, too, and way over done. It seemed like they were having some line problems the day we went; the place was smoky, we left smelling as though we'd cooked our own food. And really expensive -- about what I'd pay at Stand or BLT burger in the City, which are both much, much better.
  • Really expensive? Burgers range from $6.25 to $9.00 - I think thats pretty reasonable. The sandwiches and salads are in a similar range. One of the few places in the neighborhood where you can get a good meal for around ten bucks.
  • I hate to say it, but McDonald's does a better fries and burger. Heck, even Cafe Lafayette does a better fries and burger!

Best burgers and fries I've had in the neighborhood are at Maggie Brown.
  • Subject: my 2 cents

Agree that 67 Burger is over-rated -- and the burgers are way too salty. I ordered a medium-well burger to-go and what an unhappy surprise when i opened my order at home to find a half-cooked burger. I was not happy - still, I ate it anyway and had to wake up 4 times during the night to drink water because the saltiness had sapped my body of water.

For what it's worth, 67 Burger is still better than Smoke Joint -- which is a total rip-off.
  • I like 67 Berger and Smoke Joint. I don't love either of them, but the neighborhood needed some options, I think these are both rather strong. The berger joint is a little annoying with the industial feel- not comfortable, but good food. I like my berger rare or med rare. Also, I ordered the sweet potato fries and there were super!
Smoke Joint is really good, though I am dating a Veggie- and there is relatively nothing on the menu for him. But I like the porkslap beers!
  • still bummed that the Cambodian place is gone. too bad to lose some great ethnic food, and even worse to replace it with a generic bbq joint!
  • where's the love? The wife & I have eaten at burger 67 three times already and absolutely love the burgers. I recommend the western burger w/ pepperjack cheese!
